At 51.10 acres, this project exceeds the threshold triggering mandatory Dust Control Monitor requirements under Clark County Air Quality Regulations. The following standards apply to every day of active construction.
Any construction project with 50 acres or more of disturbed soil at any given time is required to have a certified Dust Control Monitor present and devoted specifically to dust prevention during all construction activities. This project exceeds that threshold.
Control measures must be implemented 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All construction activities must immediately cease when fugitive dust exceeds permitted opacity standards, regardless of weather conditions or project schedule pressures.
No visible emissions of particulate matter may extend more than 100 feet or cross a property line. With residential and hotel properties immediately adjacent to this corridor, that standard applies to every pass of every grading machine on this project.
